Launch of the Artistic Legacy Guide: Le Testament artistique. L’art de tirer sa révérence.

Date
September 14, 2015

Presentations by Me Sophie Préfontaine and Paul-André Fortier, choreographer

4:30 to 5 p.m.

How do artists want their memory to be preserved and their works to be presented (before they enter the public domain)?

To answer this question, the FJPP called on Me Sophie Préfontaine to develop a guide to help dance artists write their last will and testament. Largely inspired by the will of Paul-André Fortier, the guide provides artists with tools and legal information (general information on successions, estates, bequests, etc., and specific information on artistic works, copyright and moral rights) to help them decide what actions to take during their lifetime.

The choreographer Paul-André Fortier saw the writing of his will as an open creative project. His reflections have allowed him to clearly express his wishes regarding the preservation of his works.

THE DAY WILL END WITH A COCKTAIL AT 5 P.M.
