In our Dialogues space you’ll find Lise Gagnon’s update on this exciting new project (in French). On October 26, we held a first meeting with our EC2 partners. Data and information retrieval specialist Josée Plamondon raised a number of important points: “In the digital landscape, new information is generated every second. Nothing lasts for long. That’s why we need to learn to describe our data if we want to leave traces . . . A collective project is more ‘discoverable’ than an individual project . . . In the digital world, we need to learn to work with one another. It’s essential that we create ties among ourselves.”
You can also check out Josée’s PowerPoint presentation, which includes links to texts and sites providing more food for thought on this topic. It’s a wonderful research tool that’s chock-full of relevant information on data. A big thank you to Josée!
